black retriever dog, the property of one Robert Walker, on Saturday. Defendant said be really did not know whether he was guilty or not. The dog got cut in the shop, but whether it was the chopper falling on it or not he did not know. He had been worried by business matters that morning.

Mr Xenny said he had two witnesses to prove the offence, but one had gone to Auckland. He replied for a remand.
