;■ We understand that the 'AgentsGeneral of New South Wales, Victoria, * South Australia, and Queensland hare into negotiation* with the committee of management of the National Opera House, with the view of acquiring the site appropriated to that building on the Thames Embankment, should the Opera Honse project not be carried out. If the requisite arrangements can be made in which, of course, the Metropolitan Board of Works will ultimately be concerned, it is intended to establish the long contemplated Colonial Museum on the site in question, the spot being considered by the Colonial representatives as peculiarly-suitable for the purpose.
