This day. Mr Crombie, a Hansard reporter and at present Secretary to the Minister of Education, has been appointed, and will shortly enter upon the duties of Deputy Commissioner of Land Tax for Wellington.
Messrs Guthrie and Larnanh, being aboujfci to close their premises in Wellington, the schooner Maggie Patteson has been charted by them to carry their stock to Dunedin. : ■ *
