Sydney, April 24 The Ninevah left London on the 10th ultimo with 400 immigrants for the port of Sydney. : ; v At Wentwortli a melancholy fatal accident occurred in the drowning of John Sharp, the best awimmer in the neighbourhood. .■ The deceased swam on horseback at the Anabranch of the Murray for a swim, but his horse becoming entangled in weeds, threw him. Hie friends, whom he told five minutes before drowning that he was all right, were unable to asßiit him, and after getting a resting of hal& an-hour, he sank. During the flood of 1870 the deceased carried the mails fortyfire miles per day, frequently having to' swim his horse miles through a flooded country. Meibotjenb, April 24 The yield«of Bond end Albion Consols for the week is 464 ounces from 176 tons of stone. This caused great excitement atßallarat.
