This wioM will be down to 100 feet level in about 10 days. Main tunnel has been extended' 19 feet this week, through clean country, letting out water freely. 218 feet level. —In driving west on No. 9 reef we have" intersected No. 4 leader, which shows good blotches of gold, but hot being yet fairly into the junction where it strikes No. 9,1 cannot speak as to its productive* ness. A new winze has been started on No. 9 in bottom of 150 ft level to comnanM cate with 218 feet Uvel for ventilation and stoping. This winze is 10 feet on east side of No. 2 slide, and the reef here looks well, showing color! bf:gold^^S"||(f level—ln the drivef west a day band has crossed heaving No. 3 reef east. I expect to piok it up again in a few feet A new winze has been started on this reef at tunnel level 100] feet from Kuranmi boundary to ventilate the level below u<| give facilities for stoping. .Daring past fortnight the slopes have yielded low grade stuff. This is owing to being away from most productive parts of reef, and also having to take up new stopes. 287 tons have been treated yielding 143 ounces retorted gold.—B. Gout*,
