Friday. Attempt to influence a Judge.
Schwartz's case is withdrawn, owing to flaws in the indictment. His Honor commented most strongly on the carelessness displayed in drawing it up. He said that without prejudicing the case, as far as the evidence given, there was a strong prima
fade cose. His Honor stated that an indirect attempt had been made to influence his mind on the subject of the indictment by sending a letter add/essed to his secretary into court and marked urgent This was a most unparalleled case and he should consider what steps would be taken,
