A DEPUTATION.

The Chairman said that a note had been received from a deputation, asking if the Board would hear them with reference to the proposed bye-laws.§ The Board decided to hear the deputation. A deputation, consisting of Messrs Stone, Hogg, Onyon, Sims and Veale, was then ushered in. Mr Hogg acted as spokesman, and said that the deputation had been appointed at a public meeting called to consider the proposed bye-laws, which they understood were to be considered that evening. j The Chairman informed the deputation that the bye-laws were not to be discussed this evening.
