Thirday. A Favorable Eoport upon the Auckland Water Supply. At the Supreme Court to-day Patrick Fennel was charged with stealing thirty pounds from a person. The case is proceeding. Mr Tunny the provincial analyst reported favorably on three samples of the Western Springs Water Supply. The cutter Start is ashore at Ngunguru, but the crew are safe. She is'insured in the South British for £400. The general purposes committee of the City Council have recommended the appointment of a sub-committee to consider the question of taking over the Mechanics' Institute. At a meeting to-day of the creditors of Mr Thompson, a clerk, the liabilities were stated to be £191 and the assets nil.
