OAMARU.
Saturday,
Messrs Hislop and Shrimski, Ms.H.E., Waitako, addressed their constituents. The attendance was moderate. Mr Shrimski addressed tbo meeting, giving an account of his stewardship during last session. He was well received. Mr Hislop followed and made an able speech, and announced himself as a supporter of the great questions advocated by the Grey Ministry, viz: Manhood Suffrage, Land Tax and Free Trade. At the conclusion of the addresses a few important questions were put to the speaker, and evidently answered to the satisfaction of the questioners. A vote of thanks and confidence in the members was unanimously passed.
