' .'".'.,,.■■,.., The thirteenth half-yearly report of the South British Insurance Company shows a total increase of £78,300, of this £5602 was brought forwrrd. The premiums amounted to £66,720, and the interest to £5965. Expenditure : Losses, £36,681; salaries, commissions and reinsurances, £26,597, leaving a balance of £13,026. A dividend at the rate of 15 per cent, on the paid up capital of £100,000 takes £7500, leaving a net amount to carry forward of about the same as last half-year. Auckland Races.
