LATEST FROM THE CAPE.
Another Disaster in Zululand. The Officer Commanding and 40 Men Billed. 20 Men Missing. Zulus in Overwhelming Numbers. Arrival of the British Reinforcements at the Cape. News to March 25th, London, April 9. Ai a convoy with - supplies was proceeding to Luneberg escorted by a detachment of 104 officers and men of the 80th Regiment it was attacked by 4,000 Zulus on March the 12th. The convoy had been previously warned of the probable attack, and although everything was prepared, the Zulus overwhelmed them. The Captain commanding the escort and 40 men were killed, and twenty are missing, forty afterwards reaching Luneberg. The British guns and ammunition were recovered, and the dead buried. A relieving force ■ for Ekowe starts on the twenty-sixth of March. The majority of the British reinforcements have arrived at the Cape.
