TAUPO.
Monday. Topia Turoa* one of the leading chiefs of Wanganui and Taupo, is holding a meeting of the tribes at Tokanu, on the south side of Lake Taupo. It is half loyal and half Hauhau, Tokanu being'the head quarters of the latter. The object of the meeting is not known yet, but it is rumoured to be in favour of abandoning the isolation policy of the Hauhaus.
