A telegram from a well known setter in the Patea district expresses the utmost confidence that the land will be eagerly bid for, and fetch excellent prices. It is stated that settlers between Patea and the Waingonporo express themselves confident of the protection of their district, but at the same time request the Government to supply them with arms.
