(To the Editor of the Evening Star.)
Sib, —In looking over this.morning's paper, I cast my eye on an article about the Loyalty claim (Karaka), which referred to Mr Bruce and the lead and silver mine, Tararu; there are a few mistakes which I think it my duty to cor* reefc. Firstly, the sole proprietor was myself; secondly, the quantity of galena sent to Sydney was four tons, not the amount stated as 10 tons; thirdly, they were unable to treat it in Sydney, and it wag forwarded to England, per steamer Garonne, to be treated there. Being a shareholder, and as Mr Bruce stated that 10 tons was the; amount he took to Sydney, and fire dispatched to England, I should like to know what he did with the remaining five tons. In conclusion, Mr Editor, seeing people shine so large in print, I only want honor where honor is due.—l am, &c. :, • , Wm. Hethkhikoton.
