ASSESSMENT COURT.
COUNTY OP THAMES.
The annual Assessment Court for the purpose of hearing and determining objecjections to the valuation list of Thames County, was held at the St. George's Schoolroom, Rolleston Btreet, to-day, before Col. Fraser, Judge. Mr J. A. Miller represented the County. HASTINGS BIDING. H. Carran, 102 acres, and house, Tapu road, assessed at £35. Valuation excessive. Keduced to £25. W. C. Daldy, 17 acres, house and yard, assessed at £50. Valuation excessive. No appearance. Confirmed. Thomas Fogarty, allotment and hut. Hape Creek, assessed, at £4. No appearance. Confirmed. R. Monk (1) 300 acres, Tairua, £30; (2) sis houses, school house and pound, Tairua, £60; (3) 36,116 acres, mills, dams, smithy, etc., £1,850; (4) 1500 acres, Tairua, £75. Mr Monk appeared for the Union Sash and Door Company. The objections to Nos. 1 and 2, were that the company was neither owner or oscupier; Ao. 3, valuation less than stated; No. 4, not sum** ciently designated. Nos. 1 and 2st uck out, No. 3 confirmed, No. 4 reduced to £15. J. R. Stone, for Shoriland Sawmill Co., 14,186 acres bush and driving dam, 486 acres Mangarehu, 1000 acres Orongo, 523 acres bush and dam Ho tori tori, 1825 acres Mangahu, 147 acres Mangahae, 3425 acres Maungakirikhi, assessed at £900. Valuation excessive: The objector had neglected to lodge notice with County, aid consequently could no be heard. Valuation confirmed. WAT.OTAEI BIDING. Henry Carran, allotment and house, Funga Flat, assessed at £5. Not owner or occupier. Struck out. W. Comer, allotment and house, Moanaiairi, assessed at £20. Valuation excessive. Valuation confirmed. John Kelly, allotment and house, Moanatairi, assessed at £12. No appearance of objector. Confirmed. • R. Kingsford, allotment pnd house, assessed at £5. No appaarance.
