A teet interesting ceremony, that of receiving Miss Minetti and Miss Ealph as novices in St. Mary's Convent, iii other words, investing them with the wbite veil, took place at the convent, Ponsonby, in the presence of a large number of people who had assembled for the occasion. The Very Eev. Father Fynes, V.G., officiated and presided; and the other clergymen present were the Revs. Walter Macdbnald, O'Hara, Eiordan, and O'Dwyer. The latter preached an impressive sermon on religious perfection, and how to obtain it, ?iz., by constant prayer. After which the ceremony of investing the novices was performed by the Very Eev. Father Fynes. After the ceremony tha friends present were hospitably entertained by the Lady Superioress and Sisters of tbe Convent.—Herald.
