A curious incident occurred to-night. The Corporation having lowered Willis i street several feet, the owner of one of the properties commenced lowering his I house to the new level, and, *6me sup|port giving 'way, the house 'suddenly < slipped forward about 3 feet and so much sideways as to displace the next building considerably, out of, the plumb. All the windows went with a crash and the doors becameJfast,..while the side ,oj£'Jhe, firs*. house burst open and looked a regular wreck. Both houses were badly damaged, one being quite a wreck.- ~
