Extraordinary Cure of an Auckland Omnibits Driver, 21 gears Sesident, of Long-standing Rheumatism. . Auckia»d, August 20,1878. ' Dear Sir,—l had suffered' severely »nd most acutely from Rheumatism for-many years, brought on, I believe, from exposure to all weathers in. the exercise ofsmy calling. T For ycars^l could not sleep at night, and was y unable to lie except in one position. Day and night I was full of excruciating pains, scarcely able to move about at all, and as a natural sequence my general health was also materially injured. I believe I suffered the pangs of Eheumatism and its' attendant evils in every shape -and formj and my life was a burden to me. I tried every remedy I could hear of, but without obtaining any relief whatever. The sum I spent in medicine and medical advice was very considerable, but of no avail, until I > invested in a bottle of your Blood Bestorer. I may say that I was not hopeful at all when I purchased your medicine; I had tried so many-specifics without receiving the slightest benefit, but having determined to give it a fair trial I carried out my intention. I adhered strictly to the directions, and the result is that I am changed from a mere wreck to - my former self again—restored to health and vigor, and able to drive daily through all weathers, and at all hours, if occasion re> quires. I am sure you have never had a worse case to deal with than mine, and although even now, in bad weather, I feel my limbs lather stiff, after sitting on' the box for . a long time, lam a living, example of the almost miraculous curative properties (under Providence) of your now celebrated Blood '■ Restorer. My friends tell me it is a duty t owe to my fellow creatures to send you this 8 acknowledgement, and if it is the means of persuading other sufferers to go and do like- | wise, I shall feel that this letter is not written in vain. I have the more pleasure in giving this testimonial as it is quite unsolicited on your part. You are at liberty, of course, to make any use of this. —I am, sir, yours gratefully, Henbt Maiden. To H. E. Hitchens, Esq., Auckland. c Agent for the Thames— GEOEGE DENBY, c Bkown Steeet, OKRAHAMBTOWN. 82 . NOTICE. PURE VOLATILE EUCALYPTUS GLOBULUS EXTEACT. UNDER the distinguished patronage of i His Majesty the King of Italy, at Rome, according to communication received from the Conßul-General for! Italy, at Melbourne,:upon instructions from the Minister for Foreign Affairs, dated 14th March, 1878, We are informed that dealers in medicine eften try to sell the eucalyptus oil found in the trade instead of our Eucalyptus Extract. So far as the committing of imposition against the public in such a cage is concerned the consequences would not be serious; but as the qualities of both of the products are in many cases directly opposed to one another, we consider it our duty to direot the attention' of the public to the following fttots:— I'he eucalyptus oil is recorded to be of; value as v medicament in cases: of rheumatism of secondary nature; and manifests a drawing, blistering effect upon the Bkin. Any! blistering brought on by the application of a medicament must increase ififlummation, and it ia therefore evident that in cases of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diphtheria, croup, sprains, &c, the curative power of our extract on the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper. An application of the oil instead of our extract must impair the disease. The truth of our assertion is founded upon the fact that. tlie oil is a resinous product, equivalent to common turpentine, its market value being about three shillings one pound weight; our extracts consists of: the evupoia- . ting purticlee of the gum leaveß, soothing aDd healing in its effects, its price being twenty--1 four shillings ; for one pound weight. Our 3 extract, the-genuine article, is only made up f in one half ounce.and one ounce vials; vials r bearing, on the labels our trade mark and l signature. <„; ..*%'...
