Davis and party hare not yet commenced to crush. The only work the company is carrying on at present is sinking a winze on Gilmour's leader below No. 2 level. This winze is now down 20 feet, and so far the lode has carried down gold, while the the country is good. Should sufficient inducement offer, the manager will continue sinking till connection #s made with Wo. 3 level—l2o feet below No. 2 on the underlie of the lode. If the gold carries down there is only some 40 or 50 feet at No. 3 level to drive to pick up the reef there.
