This day. , The Harbor Board have resolved to issue fifty thousand pounds more deben" tures, in order to make streets on the reclamation, and to complete other works.
The annual meeting of the Acclimatisation Society, held to-day, shewed a balance of thirty-four pounds to their credit. The American salmon ova had been a success, but the Tahoe ova sent by Mr Thomas Russell had been a complete failure.
The plans for the new Grammar School building provide for six- large class rooms, examination hall, and other apartments, besides a large covered play-ground on the basement story. The contract must/be completed in six, months and the building will be of wood.
