The Queensland blacks are again proving troublesome. They have murdered four whites at Wella Creek, where they had been led and betrayed by black guides.
Sydney, Monday.
During a search for a man in Wallsend's colliery on Saturday an explosion of fire damp occurred, and the manager and two men were seriously burned.
Saturday.
The show of sheep and swine in connection with the International Exhibition is appointed to take place in the last week of September; for cattle, in the first week of December; for fat stock, on the 19th December; and for horses, in the last week of December.
Brisbane, Monday.
An important seizure of a large illicit still, also of property in the hotel where the liquor was sold, has been effected here. Several arrests have been made in connection with the seizure.
