THE PUBLIC HEALTH..: (To the Editor of the Evening Star.) ' Sib,—l notice a good deal of •• palarer" in the prints about the necessity of having proper drainage; and a careful supervision by the Inspector of Nuidancei in regard to bad smells and decaying matter being pat under ground is also a paramount duty of the office he holds. I sar this because I wish to draw the Mid official's attention to the fact that on Wednesday night a large black dojr died in a fit at the corner of Sealey and EoU leiton streets, in the drain under the wooden culvert opposite the door of the CHobe Hotel. It lay there all day Testerday m the sweltering sun, and there it waß this morning thickly attended by diggnsting blow flies.
