Thursday.! The Welcome crushing yielded 3219 ounces of amalgam from the blankets alone from 210 tons of stone, giving an average of gold of five ounces per ton. They are expecting the crushing will continue six weeks longer. i Typhoid and scarlet fever are raging at Boatman's. The hospital is full, and two or three fatal cases have already occurred. A great scare current amongst families. The Board of Health are taking vigorous precautionary measures to check the spread of fever.
