Rainbow Hovels.

Mr It. Stewart and his charming daughters gave their unique entertainment under the above title at the Theatre Royal last night to a large and delighted audience. It is described aa "a medley of mirth, music, mischief and mimicry," but this scarcely conveys an idea of the character of this sparkling entertainment. Written specially for the Stewarts by Mr Garnet Waloh, who knew thoroughly what, Mr Stewart and his daughters _ were capabfe of, "Rainbow Revels " is one of those Protean entertainments which cannot fail to please. It is constructed on a very slender plot, but. the characters are well chosen, and follow each other in rapid succession. Operatic gems, medley songs, introducing popular airs from the latest productions in opera bouffe, dances and other features are all done in excellent style. Mr R. Stewart gave imitations of several celebrated actors, and in his own round of characters was inimitable. The young ladies were equally good, the singing of Miss Docy, and the charming piquancy' of the Misses Maggie and Nellie being the means of at once establishing them as favorites. To notice all the features of " Rainbow Revels " would demand too much of our space. 'We can recommend it to the public as a chaste and elegant entertainment, of a class much superior to what is often seen here. The audience last night were delighted, and showed it in frequent and hearty bursts of applause. " Rainbow Revels " will be given tonight for the last time.
