THEATRICAL GOSSIP.
Substantial entertainment, it 'supplied the playgoer at the Duke's Theatre, at which house two powerful dramas are now given. Mr Boucicanlt's " Colleen Bawii " serves to introduce to the publio as Mjles-na-Coppaleen Mr J. F. Delsney, a gentleman who has a distinctly Hibernian appearance and speech, and who acts the part with due regard to the traditions concerning it transmitted from its first exponent, the author. Miss Ada Murray plays Ann Chute, and Miss May Kily O'Connor. Much pains have been taken with the scenery, and the representation of the Water Care is thoroughly satis* factory. In Douglas Jerrold's "Black Eyed Susan" Mr Ola ranee Holt, one of the lessees of the theatre, plays the role of William to the entire satisfaction of the audience, who nightly flock to the theatre. A view of the British fleet in the Downs elicits also a nightly display of enthu* siasm.
