At the last quarterly communication of the Grand Lodge of English Freemasons, held on Dec. 4, the Prince of Walea was again unanimously ejected Grand Master. The Earl of CarriarVon. Pro-Grand Master, presided. After the > general business had been disposed of, the Pro-Grand Master announcedi that a presentation had been made to Grand Lodge of a book of great Masoatie in* terest, being a record of the English lodges as they existed in 1729. This record only included fifty-four lodges-^-a very different catalogue from that shown at the present day, the English lodge! being 1702 in number. Many of the old: lodges had disappeared from the roll, but some of the old lodges of 1729 remained, and it was said of them that they had' - existed from time "immemorial.** The book was tho gift of Bro. E. Tyrrell Heath, Deputy District Grand Matter of Bombay,, and a record oi its acceptance, was ordered to be entered in the archives of Grand Lodge.
