Inspector Atcheson and Mrs and Miss Atcheson have left for Nelson.
It is known that the burglars recently committed here are associates of the same gang who are now known to the police.
The racehorses Pinfire, Grey Momus, and Lech Lomond left for the Blenheim races this afternoon.
An inquiry into the collision between the Huia and the Go ahead steamers occupied the Court of Inquiry a considerable portion of the day, and stands adjourned to Tuesday. The only witnesses examined were the captaius of the Huia and Go-ahead, and the second officer of the former vessel.
This day. The Governor will receive a deputation from the Wellington Working Men's Club on .Saturday when they will present him with an address.
