When the Kelly gang visited Jerilderie township, fifty miles from Deniliquin, on Monday, they confined the police in the cells, tore down the telegraph lines, and threatened the operator if he attempted to restore communication. The opera* tions displayed the coolest audacity.
The Kellys, in police uniform, paraded the streets, and bailed up the police, but harmed no one.
