Thames Borough Council.
A special meeting of the Council, called for the purpose of electing members to represent the Borough upon the Harbour Board was held last night. His Worship the Mayor (Wm. McCullough, .£>s•)' was in the chair, and Crs McGowan, Speight, Hansen, Mennie, Wilwn, Price and Ehrenfried were present. The Mayor slated the business of Inii meeting and read tbe regulations under which the election was to take place— _ regulations forwarded from Wellington for the purpose—after which he? daltld f for nominations. =' W|
i. Cr Wilson proposed , C*. MoGowan, seconded by Cr Ehrenfried, - -t, 7? Cr McGowan stated that be had no particular desire to represent the Council upon the Harbor Board, but if he were elected he would give his best attention to the interests of the Council.
Cr Wilson was proposed by Crifibieiio^ fried, and seconded by Cr Price. Cr Speight was proposed by Cr HiOMD and seconded by Cr Mennie. !V ; "•{♦'- \ Cr Mennie was proposed by Cr Hpeiftlit and seconded by Cr Hansen. ■!
