Saturday. The Nelson College has shown up well in the Civil Service examinations. Of seven candidates for senior examination, five have passed, and 18 out of 21 for junior.
Poll officially declared to-day. Adams, in returning thanks, attributed his majority to his unswerving advocacy of secular education, and PiLt-'s defeat to the introduction of the religions element into the contest.
