Sib, —May I enquire through «the columns of your valuable paper hojHtr is that the Borough authorities call t&ders for certain portions of their work, and other portions they give away privately P I understand them to hare established a precedent of calling tenders for all work. When they painted the outside of their premises they called tenders for that, and the lowest tender was accepted; now they are canvassing and papering the up stairs rooms of their premises. I nev«r saw any tenders called for this work;' Would you kindly inform me the reason, and you will oblige, yours, truly, , Ratbpateb.
