The whole of Ihe profits are divided amongst the assured, and bonuses to the amount of £910,000 bare already been -allotted. She last division of profits took place in 1874, and the cash surplus then divided amounted to *235,0C0, giving additions to policies averaging £3 per cent, per anuum on the sum assured. rJbe bonuses paid on policies becoming claims have varied from £15 per cent, on the lum assured for a policy of five years'standing to £150 per cent, for one of twenty-five 3 ears' duration. Bonuses become Tested udditiow to policies when they Lave been full five years in force. The profits realised during the last five years will be ascertained and divided as at 31st December next, and all policies issued on or before that date will be entitled to participate in tbe profits of quinquennium.
