The following notification regarding the Australian • International Exhibition jis published in the New Zealand Gazette:— ■'■ '• /.:iv>ii.i ot jbr Colonial Secretarjfs 1 Office, -j - * Wellington, 20th Januaryiplß79l to the notice published jin the New Zealand Gazette N»; 36, of the 26th of April, 1878, relative to the Au»* tralian International Exhibition ttf jbg, held in Sydney; New South Wal«, j in., August, 1879, it is hereby' further^nqti- 0 fied that the Government of Ne# Zealand will be prepared to receive and, to fprward to Sydney any! articles 1 ljfbr; exhibition which may be prepared by persons resident in this Colony. ;.•]• A Boyal .Commissjjonwill be appointed immediately, who will' prepare and piibr, lish regulations, under -which j they , will, receive exhibits for transmi^siorir"^ I j As articles for'exhibition 1 should jbiel shipped .from Wellington not later than 1: June next, persons wiahing-td exhibit arste; invited to communicate with Dr. Hectbfj the Chairman of the Koyal Commission^,; 1 without delay. * j *r;. All expenses of transmitting and ithibiting approved articles'will be defrayed, by the Government;. but,; as, experience' bag proved that in exhibitions of this, kind the best effect is produced by a lew. well-displayed objects ■ of considerable' size, and as the space allowed to thej Colony for exhibition will be limited, a careful selection will have to/be made, so that the representation may be'(complete.--The Collectors of Customs at the various, ports have been, instructed.to receive exhibits, and to forward them to the... After the Exhibition is closed, the exhibits will be either retarded to exhibitors free of expense, or sold or otherwise' , disposed of in "Sydney, at the desire of the exhibitors ; but the GbTerriment undertakes no responsibility for loss or damage, cither in Transit or during .exhibition/ or in regard io th« priot^to be realised if sold, nor mill they gaaranltee the jttfe remittance of the money. ; :■■ H-Mi./iTi G.
