The Bale of reclaimed land by Mr Duncan began to-day. A corner allotment fronting Lambton Quay fetched £63 per foot, others from £58 per foot, the highest, to £40 the lowest,; averaging £47 for the first block. A large attendance, the bidding fairly spirited.
At the continuation sale of reclamation land, the four lots adjoining Mills' foundry were bought by Mr Wright (supposed to be for Mills), at an average of £53 per foot; four other lots adjoining averaged £61 per foot. The eovaet lot, Featherstone and Whitmore streets, fetched £154 per foot, but a short frontage with a good depth. The rest is now averaging about £45 per foot. -
