As^ sociation's works were coated withhis non-conducting composition, a saving of 15 per cent, in fuel would be effected. A letter was read from Mrs Bridges stating that owing to the death of her husband and the fact that she had 8 children depending upon her she was unable to pay her rates. The complaints concerning the drain had been much increased since that time, and he had determined to lay a tile drain at his own expense, from the brewery to the Earaka creek.
