Sib, —As a volunteer, Hoani Nahe must know that the Officer Commanding the District has nothing to do with the District Belt competition, nor with entries for Nelson Rifle Association. He must also be aware that members of the Native Corps regularly enter . competitions of the District Belt, co far, none hare entered for Nelson, although Captain Taipari has been fret quently spoken to regarding the desirability of sending some 'of his shootufti there. The only qualification necessity to entitle a Volunteer to shoot, at Nelson is the payment to me of• 10p >6d, 'ijany number of which I shall be happy, to receive from Hoani Nahe on behalf of the Natire Corps.—-I am, &c, ' -" ■■■'. ■ s'lfT.
