Amputation at the wrist is necessary. .'^ '■ Another accident occurred to 'a hoi eight years old, named John Bimmel, who jumped into a railway truck on the top of an incline and; took put the break pin. The station master's two/children were in the truck, and caused him to hollow out to Rimmel to stop the 'truck. The latter tried to refix the break pin, and turned a somersault on fo the line. : A third accident happened to a little girlj two years old, the daughter of Dr. Stewart, Eaukapakapa. She was walking along the trunk of a huge tree, and fell a considerable distance on to a stake, which entered her breast. The child ließ in a precarious condition. ':
