NELSON.
Friday. An excellent specimen of argentiferous galena, evidently from a large lode, has been brought in from the Whangapeka, and professional miners think very highly of it. A writ for the city election has been issued. The nomination is fixed for the 30th, and the polling for February sth. Pitt and Adams are likely to be the only candidates.
