This day.
A watchmaker, carrying on business in Eattray street, was victimised by a man who had stolen a nugget of brass, and who succeeded in disposing of it to the gentleman referred to for £3. The prosecutor said although the nugget turned out to be pure brass when tested, it was such a beautiful deception that very few judges would have thought of testing it.
