A fatal accident occurred at Havelock. Two Natives were going to the Pelorns in a cart, which capsized into the river through the horse shying. " Job " was killed on the spot, and Mrs Byrams is not expected to recover. Mr J. Chaytor met with a serious accident at Tuamarina on Saturday. His horse set his foot in an old. well, and threw his rider on the head, producing concussion of the brain.
