Place—Dissecting-room in a medical college. , Sceno I—Students bring in an old toper insensibly drank and lay him on the dissecting-table within reach of a "cadaver ;" then turn out the light entirely and all go out except one, who secretes himself under the table. Scene 2—o. T. awakes, " Where am IP" puts out his hand and feels something cold. " I must be dead." Student (from beneath the table in a hollow, sepulchral voice)— Hello! O.T.—Hello, where am IP Student—Dead, O. T.—How long hare you been here P Student—Fire thousand years. 0. T.—Whew! that's a long time. How long have I been here P Student—Three thousand years. O. T.—Well, I should think so. for I am terribly dry. I say, old fellow, you have been here longer than I have: can you tell me where wo can get a drink P
