The whole of the profits are divided amonaet the assured, and bonuses to the' amount of £910,000 have already been allotted. The last division of profits took place in 1874, and the cash surplus then divided amounted ,to , £235,000, giving additions to policies averaging £3 per cent, per anuum on the. sum assured. The bonuses paid on policies becoming claims have varied from £15 per cent^pn.the turn assured for a pplicj, of'five jearV standing to £150 per cent', for one of twenty-five years', duration. Bonuses become Vested addition's to policies when' they; have been full five years in force.
