TARANAKI V. AUCKLAND C.C.
This match was commenced at Auok« land yesterday, and created a considerable amount of interest. Mr Mumford was captain of the Auckland eleven, and Mr Davis of the Taranaki team; The former won the toss and elected to send hii own side to the wickets. There wai some splendid play exhibited on both sides. The following is the result of the day's play :—
