The Year's Gold Return.
Below we give a statement of the., year's gold produce of the Hauraki and Coromandel Goldfields, and from the comparisons made with, the produce of 1877 it will be seen this year shows a considerable decrease, no find anything approaching the Moanatairi " lob "of last year having been unearthed* during the past twelve months'. On' the other hand, the Coromandel returns appear to keep well up to their usual average. In the statement given below the Coromandel returns for the last four months, of tHe year are not included,. not having come ' to hand:—
