A special service was beldam's evening at St.- Michael's Church to welcome • Bishop Harper on his'return from England; Aa address of welcome wss read by the Very Eev. the Dew, and the Bishop replied, saying he would take another opportunity, of giving a fair account of the Lambeth Conference,. He afterwards proceeded to the college library and distributed the prizes to the scholars of Christ's College. A. very heavy south wester has just sprung'tap, and the. town is in a cloud of dust unprecedented^ thick, with heavy banks of clouds threatening rain before the^orhing.
