CURE.
Since niy last report the country in the No. 2 level crosscut has got a little harder, and consequently the progress is not quite so quick as could, be wished. It is now in 138 feet' The country is lull of quartz stringers, and is in every way favorable to the existence of auriferous quartz. No lodes of any size have been come on. The sinking of the winze will be suspended the end of this week, as it has nearly reached a sufficient depth to connect with the drive on :=the lode from the cross-cut, when it is driven in that direction. During the sinking of the winze none of the quartz has been disturbed; it will not be removed till :stopin« js commenced. All the tributers will commence their Christmas crushings next week. Pavis and party and Gilmourand party bare been getting some good stone lately. ■ Yesterday the managt'w let a block on MorrjsoVs leader, from No. 1 jevel upwards on tribute tps?QwnJee and par.'T.
