RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT

(Before H. C. Lawlor, Esq., J.P.) WIFE DESERTION.
John Paul was.'oharged with unlawfully deserting his wife, Mary Paul, and his two children, under the ages of 14 years, and leaving them without adequate means of support. ; Defendant said he had not deserted his Wife. - He had gone to look for work. Mr Bullen pointed out that under the Act only theR.M. could deal with the case. He asked for a remand till to-mor-row, when the E.M. would be present. Defendant asked could not the matter be settled at once. If he pleaded guilty could the Bench settle the case. He wished to come to terms with his wife.
Remanded till to morrow Court adjourned.
