Wednesday. The case of the Rev. Mr S ton ford r. the liquidators of the Otago Daily Times will be heard on the 19th. The plaintiff received about £1000 in excess of the actual value of his shares on the occasion of the sale of the Times to Heed and Feriwick, and .some dispute having arisen he placed the money in tbe hands of liquidators. They refuse to give it back to him, and propose .distributing it pro rata among all tbe original shareholders. Mr Stanford'does not agree to this, and •has sued them for it. Bishop Harper, Primate of New ZeaJand, arrived in Duncdin yesterday, and Was welcomed at the railway station by Archdeacon Edwards and members of tbe Church of England. The want of sufficient rolling stock on the railways of the Middle Island continues to be daily felt/ The' funeral of the late Sir John
Eicbardson.tQpk,, place this afternoon. The procession was composed of a large number of the Volunteer force and representatives of the educational institutions of the Province, and an immense concourse of people to see the funeral. Business places were shut.
