The people of Akaroa have invited the 'Hons.-J. Hall, W. Robinson, and C. Gray, and Mr William Montgomery, M.H.K., to a banquet on the Bth of January, in recognition of their services in connection with the Akaroa railway.
At the City Council meeting, the Mayor characterised Hospital Sundays as a mean way of robbing churches, which he was ashamed to countenance.
