The Good Templars Grand Lodge commenced its session in the Temperance Hall this morning. Present: G.W.C. Templar Jago (in the chair), W. Carr, D. Cameron, Her. Dr Roseby, and Sister Lamb, from Dunedin; Cuthbertson, from Taieri; Monaon, from Fort Chalmers; T. Smith, Otago North* Central; Corrigan and Craig, North Otago; McEaclien, Cromwell; Cheyne, Southland; Webber and King, East Christchurch; Dimond, Lyttelton; Andrews, Mid. Canterbury; Evans and Ewin North Canterbury; Price and Proctor, Timaru; Turnbull and Barrowman, Hokitika; Boase and Donovan, Grey Valley; Brown, Buller; Prichard, Nelson; Earl, Marlborough; Coles and Hudson, Wellington; Harding* Hawkes Bay; Innis, Queenstown. —The lodge has been engaged in discussing reports of officers, which show, inter alia, that there are 156 lodges in good standing in the district, being an increase of ten daring the year; also that there are now 1638 Jtirenile Templars. In reply to a letter from the Mayor the Public Works Department state that the plans and specifications -for the extension of the main trunk railway from Foxhiil will be ready for tenders in February.
